Management Team
David Cone, President
David started with the company in 1984. He began his career working in the shipping and receiving department. He later moved to inside sales specializing in parts and conversions. In 1987 he became inside sales manager and vice-president of the company. After the passing of his father Amanuel in 1990 he was promoted to president of the company.
Jeremy Johnson, Shop Manager
Jeremy has worked at Cone Machinery for 15 years. He began his journey learning the ins and outs in the assembly department before moving on to be a CNC machinist for 10 years. After Lavon Cone's retirement, Jeremy took on the role as our new shop manager.
Design Engineering
Mike Greener, Engineering Manager
Mike has been with Cone Machinery for 16 years. He provides many years of experience in sawmill machinery design and construction. He was formerly with Chip-n-Saw (7 years), Forest Industries Machinery (8 years), and USNR (2 years).
Craig Harrell, Head Designer
Craig has been with Cone Machinery since 1995 and is an expert in AutoCAD design work, with an extensive mechanical background.
Controls Department

We have a full controls department and panel shop for building and testing AC drives panels, PLC I/O panels, and operator consoles as well as custom cables such as servo and proportional valve cables.

Jack Donovan, Chief Electrical Engineer and Controls Department
Based in Thomasville Ga., Jack has thirty years experience in the electronic controls field, and has specialized in general sawmill machinery controls for the last fifteen years. In particular, Jack has become well known for his work with the Allen Bradley line of PLC processors. Jack also specializes in the following:

• AC variable speed drives, including Allen-Bradley, Toshiba, ABB
  and EMS
• Hydraulic linear positioners, including Allen-Bradley's 1771QB,
  MTS, and SAS
• Man-Machine Interface programming and layout, including
  Allen-Bradley's Panelview, Panelview Plus, RSView Works, and
  RSView ME
• Complete control system design, assembly, installation, and start-up
• PLC/Optimization integration and start-up

Jack is also the company pilot. This increases his ability to arrive at the work site in a timely fashion should problems arise. He is available online via PC anywhere for more pressing PLC programming problems.
Kyle Register, Controller
Kyle handles our day to day accounting. He studied at Valdosta State where he earned a Masters degree in accounting and is currently working on his CMA.

Purchasing / Materials Management
Jeff Hancock, Purchasing Manager
Jeff has been with Cone for 8-1/2 years. He handles all purchasing for the company.
Sales Department
Matt Cone, Inside Sales
Matt is David's son. He has worked for Cone Machinery for 5 years. Starting out he worked in our machine shop as a painter and sand blaster. He spent time calling on customers as an outside sales rep for Cone. He now works in our sales department and also handles our invoicing.
Parts Department
Kenny Smith, Parts Sales
Kenny is family, married to David's sister Kim. He has been with Cone Machinery since 1987. He handles all Inside Parts Sales and oversees the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Rob Anderson, Parts Sales
Rob has been with Cone Machinery since 1990. He handles Inside Parts Sales and assists with the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Service Department

The Cone Machinery Service Department is second to none in the Industry. If it's broken, bent, or out of line, these guys can fix it.

Malvin Monk, Service Representative
Malvin has been with Cone Machinery for 10 years. He has many years experience with CNS machinery, as well as with the equipment manufactured by Cone Machinery. He covers all of the southeastern United States.
